CONSTRUCTION OF FCU CASING

• Robust construction casing
• Casing material – Galvanised steel hot dipped 1mm thick, fan plate 1.5mm thick

FANS AND MOTORS

• EBMPAPST GreenTech EC centrifugal fans are highly efficient, use up to 70% less energy than conventional AC fans and are extremely quiet.
• EBMPAPST GreenTech EC range of centrifugal fans with Active PFC (Power Factor Correction) achieves a power factor of up to λ = 0.99
• Each fan has plug and play quick release connectors, low running noise and SFP levels

INSULATION

• The unit is internally lined throughout with 10mm thermal and acoustic insulation with 90kg/m3 impregnated flexible PU foam rated to BS476 Parts 6 & 7; Class ‘0’ to building regulations
• Condensate trays are externally lined with 6mm insulation

CONDENSATE TRAY AND EXTENDED DRIP TRAY

• Condensate drip tray is manufactured from hot dipped galvanised steel with epoxy paint coating or stainless steel (optional)
• Fully welded corners with positive fall to drain and finished with a 22mm diameter copper tail at its lowest point
• Extended drip tray covers the entire length of the valve kit area

FILTER AND FILTER ARRANGEMENT

• EU1 as standard
• EU2 and EU3 available upon request
• Quick release filter via thumb screws – no tools required!
• Bespoke filter arrangements available upon request

COILS

• Heating and cooling coils Cu/Al
• Seamless copper tube
• Coil connections at 40mm centres to facilitate PICV valves
• Leak tested with dry air under water to 16 bar pressure

POTENTIOMETER AS STANDARD

• Each OPTIMUM FCU comes with a potentiometer mounted externally on the control box, c/w dial with visual settings marked 1-10
